Dear Parents, Guardians and Students,
We want to share important information about a school safety tool available to all students, parents, and staff throughout the state of Florida.
FortifyFL is a free mobile and web-based application developed by the Florida Department of Education, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and local law enforcement agencies. It allows students and members of the community to report suspicious activity or concerns directly to law enforcement and school officials quickly and anonymously.
This tool is part of Florida’s continuing commitment to making schools as safe as possible. Reports can include anything from threats of violence, bullying, weapons, or any behavior that seems unsafe. Each report is taken seriously and is reviewed by the appropriate authorities for investigation.

We encourage you to speak with your child about the importance of reporting anything that may threaten their safety or the safety of others. FortifyFL is not a replacement for 911 in emergencies, but it is an important tool to help prevent tragedies before they happen.
